At Busy Kids we us on online management platform called Famly.
This allows us to manage the setting more easily and allows parents and carers to be more involved in their children’s day.
Famly allows the nursery to keep in close contact with parents, and vice versa. There is no cost to parents for this and it gives you the opportunity to communicate with the nursery at any time.
Benefits of Famly
Using Famly, you can send and receive information on your smartphone, tablet or computer at any time. This allows you to take part in your children’s day to day life at the nursey.
The app also offers you practical functions to help you communicate with the nursery. These include:
- Reporting sick days and holidays to the nursery.
- Request additional care sessions.
- Sending and receiving private messages securely.
- Getting an overview of nursery events in your calendar.
- Seeing photos and videos of your child’s day in the newsfeed.
- Viewing your child’s online Learning Journal.
- Viewing information about sleep, meals, nappy changes and toilet visits.
- Important reminders and updates.
- Current fee status records.

What do I need to do?
When you register with the nursery, you will receive an email invitation to your child’s profile by email. You can edit your child’s information yourself and control all information.
The app runs on computers, tablets and smartphones (Android and iPhone) and you can use Famly anywhere across all devices.
Safety of Data?
Famly is fully compliant with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). On top of this, our server provider Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been approved in accordance with the EU Data Protection Directive.
This is the directive that protects individuals with regards to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (also known as Directive 95/46/EC). Broadly, this directive sets out a number of data protection requirements, which apply when personal data on EU citizens is being processed.
